ABOUT ICRD
Inverness City Roller Derby, formed in April 2015, are located in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland.
The team is made up of a group of people from all walks of life that have a shared love of Roller Derby.
Since conception, ICRD have striven to achieve the ultimate goal of creating a full team consisting of skaters, referees and NSOs, in order to compete. There have been a few obstacles in our way which have delayed the dream, namely finding a permanent practice venue. This however has now been rectified with ICRD training at Inverness CYC and Inverness Royal Academy.
ICRD originally started as an all-female team but with the rise of co-ed teams ICRD have embraced this and welcome all skaters no matter their gender identity.
The team have been very lucky to have guest skaters/trainers from many high profile teams in the country including a guest coach from
The Power of Scotland (men's team) and Team Scotland (women's team) which proved to be an exhilarating, fun, fast paced session!
Join ICRD
Throughout the year we run a 12 week programme for new skaters
including the free use of all skates and protective equipment. Your first session is completely free!
If skating isn't your thing, we are always on the lookout for NSOs (Non Skating Officials) to help officiate the wonderful games played throughout the UK. You will be given all the training you need and it's a great way to volunteer for local, regional and national teams.
